Lauren and Melanie first crossed paths in 2013 while residing in Cherry Creek North, a stone's throw away from where much of the upcoming celebrations will take place! Lauren likens their shared living situation to a "real-life Friends" sitcom, complete with laugh-out-loud moments & heartwarming tales that she and Melanie often reminisce about. Over the years, Lauren has stood by Melanie through thick and thin, exemplifying what it means to be a best friend and becoming the closest thing to a sister that Melanie has ever known.

Tom met James in the spring of 1989. Born 2 years and 1 day apart, James was Tom's original adventure buddy and life-long best mate. James and his beautiful wife, Crystal are expecting their first child, due just weeks before the wedding. They will not be able to attend, but we will celebrate one another from afar, as they begin their journey into parenthood! We can't wait to meet the our new niece or nephew xx

Melanie's cousin on her mom Laura's side goes by Liz or, enduringly, Lizzard. Since childhood, Melanie has looked up to Liz, even during Liz's rebellious and weird teenage years filled with Sublime CDs and safety-pin earrings. Their cousin-ship blossomed into a friendship and the two can often be found laughing and making light of their late grandmother's cantankerous nature or doing the damn dishes at one of their large Italian family gatherings. Liz truly brings the sparkle into every room she enters. Melanie continues to look up to Liz and aspires to be as remarkable a wife and mother as she is.

Ruan and Tom met in 2010 in Perth, Western Australia after a chance encounter at their local skatepark (being two of the only people at the skatepark over 14, they became fast friends!). They've since traveled the world together skateboarding, snowboarding and exploring, with unforgettable trips to New Zealand, Canada and Japan to name just a few. As fate would have it, Ruan received an offer from his employer to relocate from Perth to Houston in early 2014, ultimately arriving in the US just weeks after Tom. While these days they spend more time in boardrooms than on skateboards, they still manage to have plenty of fun and are always planning their next adventure together.

Andrés and Tom first bumped into each other in a Chicago classroom on a Saturday afternoon back in late 2014, while tackling their motorcycle license test. After acing it, they jumped headfirst into the world of biking and adventure together. Andres even played matchmaker, joining Melanie and Tom on one of their earliest dates as a trusty wingman. Their friendship has been a whirlwind of epic journeys, from cruising across the Midwest on their motorcycles to conquering Colorado's peaks, tearing up Utah's desert on dirt bikes, and exploring Tasmania's wild trails on mountain bikes.

When Melanie first met Sophie, it was like seeing her reflection. Not only did Sophie match Melanie in height, but also in her humor, goofy demeanor, and unparalleled knack for turning mundane tasks into song-worthy narrations. Sophie and Melanie bond over their love for reading and unabashed obsession with animals, particularly their cherished dogs, Sully and Dotti. Sophie is one of Melanie's most trusted book advisors which speaks to the fact that although she is younger in years, she is wiser in many ways. Tying the knot with Tom is a major victory in life, but gaining Sophie as a new sister and built-in friend for life is a bonus Melanie is incredibly grateful for.

Ladies and gentlemen, let's give a warm welcome to our emcee for the evening, John Jr.! Not only is he Melanie’s older brother and Tom's groomsman, but he's also a proud father to his son, John. Known in the comedy world as "No Moore Johns"—a fitting name in a family filled with them—John Jr. brings a perfect mix of humor and heart, having traveled all the way from Dallas, Texas to be here. We’re thrilled to have him lead us through this special celebration!

Now, let’s turn our attention to the youngest member of the wedding party—John Moore III, the 8-year-old ring bearer! As the only grandson and nephew on Melanie's side of the family, John III holds a special place in their hearts. Following in the footsteps of his dad, John Jr., this little guy will be carrying the rings and adding a lot of charm to the day!

Andrew, or as the family calls him, Andy, is Melanie’s younger brother and lifelong best friend. Only 18 months apart, they grew up doing nearly everything together and remain very close, sharing a deep love for the Colorado outdoors. While Andrew has far surpassed Melanie in rock climbing and skiing—family favorite pastimes—he’s also a gifted artist and graphic designer. His creative touch helped bring many aspects of this wedding to life, and today, he stands proudly as a groomsman.
